Diary of a sub-pig part I

Once upon a time, there was a little piglet named Bertie. Now, this piglet had ambitions, he wanted to travel the world in a hot air balloon. This may seem like a mad dream since there are no balloons underwater. Did I mention that Bertie lives on a bacon farm in a bubble above a marine volcano. One day, Bertie asked his father:
"Dad, will I ever be able to see things like forests, mountains and plains?" Of course, Bertie's Father, Billybob, did not answer because he had gone outside to go gnaw on some seaweed. But when Billybob did come in he asked his son to please repeat the question. So Bertie did repeat it, and Billybob said:

"It depends son, it depends if the chain Squidron put on this earth rusts away soon. It depends if this bubble floats to the surface safely. It depends if it drifts toward land or not. And, of course, it always depends if Squidron converts us first." Of course, constant variables like this are part of adventure. But, of course, Bertie has a plan.
To Be Continued...
